Over 25 Years of Doing Things Differently

Ever wonder what happens once an order gets placed with us? Here’s a look inside our process: six steps; each one built around a specific benefit for our customers, not just how material gets from one place to another. It’s also a good look at what sets us apart, built from 25+ years of doing right by the partners we work with.

1. Request a Quote

Trust starts before an order even exists. Tell us what you need and we’ll get you a price with delivery already built in. No guessing what the shipping add-on is later, no separate call to figure out freight once the material price is settled. Straightforward pricing from the first conversation may seem like a small thing, but it’s a deliberate choice on our end based on how we like to do business.

2. Get Approved

Sets us apart

This is where the relationship gets tested first. Even as a new customer, you can qualify for credit terms with us: no long wait, no complicated approval process standing between a new relationship and an actual purchase order. Extending credit to someone we haven’t worked with yet is a bet on trust before trust has been earned either way. It’s how we treat people from day one. (If credit isn’t the right fit for your business, that’s fine too. More on the payment options that work below.)

3. Place Your Order

Sets us apart

Confirm with a purchase order and we move immediately. Your inventory gets secured before it’s gone, sourced through our own network, not a shared marketplace where other buyers are competing for the same material. We built that network over decades of negotiated relationships with mills and suppliers and it’s the reason our customers’ orders don’t have to compete with strangers for the same load.

4. We Handle Shipping

Sets us apart

Most suppliers hand this part off to a broker. We don’t, and it’s for the same reason as everything else on this list: keeping the relationship in-house instead of routing it through a company that’s never met the customer. Our in-house team, Silvaris Complete Logistics, books the shipping directly, works with carriers and gives every order one logistics representative who owns it from pickup to delivery. Their updates stay visible to the rest of the team, so coverage doesn’t disappear just because one person is out. No chasing freight companies, no dealing with someone else’s mistakes, no game of telephone between three separate companies trying to explain why a load is late.

5. On-Time Delivery

Your order shows up on schedule. If anything changes along the way: weather, a routing issue, anything, you hear it directly from us. That’s what accountability actually looks like day to day, not a slogan on a website, just someone picking up the phone before you have to ask.

6. Simple Invoicing

One invoice, clear terms. No confusion and no surprises once the job is done, which matters more at the end of a relationship-driven process than it would anywhere else. Paying it is just as simple, however you’d like to do it. Customers can set up automatic payments through Billfire—a secure online portal we use for invoice payments—and pay directly through an email link.

Customers approved for 1% 10/Net 30 terms who pay within 10 days get a 1% discount automatically. No extra step required. Prefer to pay by check, a pre-pay option, or credit card instead? That works too. We built this process to fit how a customer actually wants to do business, not to push everyone toward the same option. It’s the same care we put into every step before it, carried through to the last one.

What All This Means

None of this happened by accident, and none of it got bolted onto the company after the fact. It’s what 25+ years of working with some of the same partners looks like once it’s built into every step of how an order moves from the first quote to the final invoice. Exceptional service was never one department’s job here. It’s everyone’s job.
