The Challenge
UP AGAINST BIGGER COMPETITORS
As the buyer and co-owner of Masonry & Stucco Supply, Marius Ghergel recognized a growing need in the market for a more affordable alternative to traditional pavers. Serving customers in a highly competitive environment, he understood that pricing often drives purchasing decisions and that differentiating his business from larger competitors would require a fresh approach.
Rather than relying solely on conventional supply channels, Marius set out to find products that would help his customers lower their project costs without sacrificing quality.

The Soluton
SOURCING BUILT AROUND THE BUSINESS NEEDS
Marius’s search for new opportunities led him to Silvaris. He knew that to remain competitive, he would need to “wander off the beaten path” and explore nontraditional sourcing options that could unlock savings.
Since March 2026, Masonry & Stucco Supply has purchased 24” x 24” porcelain tile through us, averaging two to three truckloads per month. Working closely with our senior trader, he found a partner who understood the realities of running a growing business with limited yard space in a busy market. Our trader focused on understanding their actual needs instead of just pushing inventory.
At one point, our trader helped Marius purchase several small lots of product that proved difficult to move. Rather than leaving him to manage the situation alone, the trader discounted his next few orders as a gesture of good faith and reached out to local contacts to help find other outlets for the product.

In Their Words
“
My Silvaris trader is receptive, prompt and honest. If I tell her I’m sitting on product right now, she doesn’t smother me with products I don’t need. We’ve built trust over time, and I know she has my business’s best interests in mind.”
